Experience Design

Brief

The intervention on the Enzo Ferrari Museum focused particularly on the historic building, without providing architectural changes, but focusing our efforts on creating an exhibition route that would be clearer, more coherent, and more usable by visitors. The exhibition space featured five rooms that we redesigned to achieve a fluid experience that would accompany visitors along the valuable contents on display.

Solution

One of the museum rooms was set up to highlight the Ferrari 125s engine, displayed on a pedestal and surrounded on the walls by original sketches and photos. For the Engine Room, containing 25 different engines, we planned to install banners anchored to the ceiling depicting a different graphic theme for each engine category. An LED screen was attached to each banner to convey multimedia content, and we introduced totems to depict the original technical drawings.

The first room was dedicated to the engine of the Ferrari 125S, the car that marked the beginning of it all. The room surrounds the engine displayed on a pedestal with walls covered in original sketches and photos for an engaging visit from the very beginning. In the majestic Engine Room, we celebrated Ferrari’s most significant engine architectures through 25 different powertrains. The exploration of these architectures was enhanced by banners anchored to the ceiling that depicted a different graphic theme for each engine category. A LED screen was attached to each banner to convey multimedia content, and we introduced totems to illustrate the original technical drawings, genuine masterpieces for any enthusiast.
