Brief
The LaCimbali M40 was born from the need to build a premium espresso machine that could recall and continue the family feeling of the brand’s flagship: the M200. Respecting the quality of premium materials, achieving natural ergonomics, and enhancing technology and performance were the cornerstones we pursued throughout the design process.
Solution
A machine with an unprecedented layout that combines the ergonomics and lightness of the cantilevered drip tray with the functional tradition of the front, leaning the dashboard and control area toward the barista. This was an innovative solution that we devised to achieve an espresso machine suitable for any need, with a fully touchscreen user interface designed to adapt to the gestures of the user. The profile also received special attention: a direct reference of shape and design of the flagship M200 with a front crossbar elegantly integrated into the side.
