Brief
One element that guided the development of the project was the desire to build a very complete family of luminaires in a modular way, making sure that almost every space in the architecture would find a suitable TEE lamp. Masiero’s DNA was to be recognized through the expressiveness and emotion contained in clean, simple, elegant forms that, at the same time, catch the eye of the beholder.
Solution
From the point of view of design composition, we aimed to pursue primitive geometries, such as cylinders and spheres jointed by solids of revolution. On this formal basis we developed a very careful and patient dialogue of proportions. We wanted light to make the lampshades vibrate: sinuous ripples etched into the lampshade shine when the light passes through them and create a measured but very attractive decoration.
